Position Overview

As a Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the first point of contact for our passengers, setting the tone for their entire travel experience. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for outstanding customer service and operational efficiency. You will work across various airport locations, including ticket counters, baggage services, and gate areas, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive, professional, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

Ticket and Reservation Services: Handle ticketing, check-in processes, and reservations using our computerized point-of-sale systems. Process ticket purchases, modifications, and cancellations while providing accurate fare information and travel options.

Baggage Services: Check in passenger baggage, tag luggage properly, and manage baggage claim operations. Assist customers with lost, delayed, or damaged baggage claims, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and according to company policies.

Payment Processing: Handle various forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons. Calculate fares, make change, and balance daily transactions accurately. Maintain accountability for cash handling procedures.

Flight Information: Provide current and accurate information regarding flight schedules, departure and arrival times, gate changes, delays, and cancellations. Answer general inquiries and assist passengers with navigation through the airport.

Boarding Procedures: Manage boarding processes efficiently, verify passenger identification, assign seats, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Work under tight time constraints to accomplish quick aircraft turns.

Issue Resolution: Address customer complaints and concerns professionally, including those related to oversales, flight delays, cancellations, and service disruptions. Resolve issues quickly while maintaining composure and adhering to company guidelines.

Communication: Communicate effectively via telephone, in-person conversations, and public address systems. Use radio equipment to coordinate with team members and relay critical information.

Documentation: Complete required forms, reports, and documentation accurately. Write anomaly and complaint reports as needed, ensuring proper record-keeping for continuous improvement.

Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with colleagues and other departments to ensure the overall success of operations. Support a positive team environment and contribute to collective goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications


Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in person and over the telephone.

Computer Proficiency: Ability to type and use computer keyboards with sufficient speed to meet job requirements. Familiarity with computerized reservation and ticketing systems is advantageous.
