Part Time Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Company is in need of a part-time CFO/Controller to take on a hands-on role in leading finance operations and providing strategic oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and overseeing day-to-day accounting and finance operations, leading financial planning activities, and managing project-based financial tracking. This includes tasks such as revenue recognition, margin analysis, and profitability reporting. The CFO/Controller will also be expected to provide executive-level financial insights, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls. Additionally, the role involves supporting and optimizing systems and workflows across finance tools and timekeeping, as well as partnering with leadership to improve operational efficiency and financial visibility across projects.
Applicants for the CFO/Controller position at the company should have prior experience in a similar role within a project-based professional services organization. NetSuite experience is required, with a strong preference for those also experienced with HubSpot. Familiarity with Workfront (Adobe) for timekeeping or project tracking is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project accounting, margin management, and services-based KPIs, and be comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity. The role is suited to someone who can build scalable finance processes in a remote environment and is able to work 30-40 hours per week with consistent availability.
