Part-Time Content Creator: Videographer & Editor (NYC-Based)

About the Role We’re looking for a NYC-based videographer and editor with strong storytelling instincts to help us create social-first, cinematic short-form content for a fast-growing startup. What You’ll Do Film in-office and on-location content in NYC (2–3 days/week) Capture high-quality video with intentional lighting, composition, and audio Edit short-form videos optimized for Instagram, TikTok, YT Shorts Collaborate with growth and social teams on concepts, storylines, and iterations Select music and sound design that enhances emotional impact Deliver polished, on-brand edits that reflect a clear storytelling POv Requirements NYC-based and able to work in our office 2–3 days per week 3–4+ years of experience creating films or social video content (student projects + professional work welcome if strong) Strong understanding of: Short-form storytelling and social hooks Cinematography and shot composition Lighting and on-camera audio capture Pacing and rhythm for social video Own professional equipment, including: camera and lighting gearThis is a Good Fit for You If: Background or interest in startups, entrepreneurship, or brand storytelling Documentary-style experience Familiarity with what performs on social platforms and why Desire to grow into a full-time creative role What to Include When Applying Portfolio or reel (required) - include 2-4 examples of short-form work you're proud of Resume Cover letter (2-3 sentences) about your technical experience and gear setup, and why this role excites you Location: New York City (in our Flatiron office or on set 2–3 days/week) Time Commitment: ~20 hours/week Apply tot his job
