Part-Time Bookkeeping / Accounting Support (Contract – Remote)
Position Overview
Abundant Life HCS is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeping / Accounting Support professional to assist with day-to-day financial tasks and support our CPA with maintaining accurate financial records.
This is a remote, part-time contract role ideal for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience who can work independently and collaborate with leadership and our external CPA.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Record journal entries, expenses, and transactions in QuickBooks
• Assist with monthly close processes and general ledger maintenance
• Support CPA with financial cleanup and ongoing accuracy of records
• Assist in gathering documentation for cost reports (THHSC/HCS)
• Help pull and organize financial and payroll-related data as needed
• Ensure records are organized, up-to-date, and audit-ready
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information
Qualifications
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
• Experience with QuickBooks and Excel required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness during business hours
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
Preferred (Not Required)
• Experience working with a CPA or accounting firm
• Familiarity with Texas Health & Human Services (HCS program)
• Experience supporting cost reports or healthcare-related accounting
Schedule & Pay
• Part-time (approximately 20–25 hours per week)
• Flexible schedule, but must be available during standard business hours for coordination
• Contract position (1099)
• Pay range: $17–$22/hour, depending on experience

This role will work closely with leadership and an external CPA. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, and able to step in quickly to support ongoing financial operations.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
