Part-Time Bookkeeper (Contract - Remote)
Description
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to support ongoing monthly accounting work across multiple clients.
This is a contractor (1099) position focused on accuracy, consistency, and keeping books clean and organized—not just data entry. Work should be prepared to a review-ready stage each month.
Responsibilities
• Categorize transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with invoicing and AR tracking
• Maintain clean and organized financial records
• Flag uncategorized or unclear transactions for review
• Support monthly close preparation
• Support occasional cleanup work and onboarding of new clients, as needed
• Support occasional updates to chart of accounts over time to improve clarity and consistency
• Support additional bookkeeping or accounting-related tasks as needed, depending on client needs
What We’re Looking For
• Experience with QuickBooks Online
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Comfortable asking questions and flagging issues
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (not just data entry)
• Consistent availability (~25 hours per month)

Compensation
• $25.19–$32.75/hour depending on experience
