Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1
We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, helping fans find their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new team members and support daily operations and sales goals.
WHAT YOU\'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
- Step into leadership roles as needed, including covering the sales floor and supporting store operations.
- Open and close the store when scheduled.
- Operate the register, process sales, and promote additional benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup, while managing register closures and communicating shortages or overages.
- Understand sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
- Work with management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
- Maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and team development.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
