Job Summary We are looking for an energetic, strategic, and highly organized Academic Tutor to instruct and support students through our After-School Digital Learning Program. As a Part-Time After School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in tutoring K-9th grade students in math, English Language Development (ELD), or English Language Arts (ELA) via a personalized online adaptive-digital curriculum. Instruction will take place remotely via Zoom, with session dates and times to be determined. Key Responsibilities Provide personalized instruction to K-9th grade students in math, ELD, or ELA through our online adaptive-digital curriculum. Utilize real-time data to drive small group instruction and provide accommodations to ensure student success. Engage and motivate students in a virtual classroom setting, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, embodying the social justice ideals of Cesar Chavez and the spirit of the Farmworker Movement. Meet all requirements for remote instruction, including having a suitable workspace and a strong, stable WIFI connection. Be available to teach the entire duration of assigned sessions. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you must: Hold a B.A. or B.S. degree. Have experience working with students in grades K-9. Possess experience in teaching literacy and math, using data to inform instruction. Be proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel) and Zoom. Have a valid California Multiple Subject or Single Subject teaching credential (desired). Meet fingerprinting and TB clearance requirements before starting. Have access to a computer or laptop with video conference capabilities and a strong WIFI connection.
