As a Parent Student Advocate, you will work closely with parents, teachers, and school administrators to provide support and resources, helping to bridge the gap between home and school.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Title I parent involvement component, providing community resource information and referrals, and serving as a liaison between home and school. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build effective relationships with school staff, parents, and the community, making a lasting difference in the lives of students and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and implement the Title I parent involvement component to promote parent engagement and student success
Provide community resource information and referrals to meet the basic needs of students and their families
Serve as a liaison between home and school, communicating with parents, teachers, and school administrators
Assist in promoting and communicating attendance policies and academic expectations
Coordinate volunteer efforts and facilitate school events and Title I parent training workshops
Maintain documentation on parent meetings and workshops
Assist parents and students with navigating the school system, including PowerSchool Parent Portal and Special Education services
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Arizona driver's license
Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in an indoor environment with frequent sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds
