Responsibilities:
• Bilingual PREFERRED but not required
• Strong experience in Autism required
• Provide instructional support to students individually or in small groups, assisting with academic tasks and reinforcing learning concepts based on lesson plans.
• Implement and support behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized education programs (IEPs), adapting strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Assist teachers with classroom management, supervision of students during activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Collect and document data on student progress and behavior, maintaining accurate records to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
• Prepare instructional materials, assist with administrative tasks, and help organize the classroom and learning spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Successful completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment
• Experience working with students with disabilities or specific learning needs.
• Knowledge of positive behavior intervention strategies.
