Paralegal - Real Estate

TDS Telecommunications LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and coordinating legal documents for high-volume real estate transactions, ensuring legal integrity and timely execution while supporting the legal department's efforts to manage the real estate portfolio.ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and revise a variety of real estate legal documents, including leases, lease amendments, easements, license agreements, access and utility agreements, memorandums of leases, option agreements, and asset purchase agreementsManage end-to-end real estate transactions, including coordinating due diligence, collecting and reviewing documents, preparing closing documents, and facilitating execution and recording of documentsReview and summarize title reports, surveys, and legal descriptions for accuracy and compliance with transaction requirementsMaintain, track, and update legal records, critical dates, document versions, and real estate databases to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiencyCoordinate across departments (Legal, Asset Management, Sales, Operations, Finance) to meet transaction timelines and resolve issuesServe as a liaison with vendors to manage transaction workflows and ensure proper documentation and filingAssist with document management, e-filing, and administrative tasksContribute to special legal projects and process improvements initiated by the legal teamSkillsAssociate's degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional experience1+ year(s) of experience as a real estate legal professional in a real estate law firm or corporate legal departmentProven experience handling high-volume, deadline-driven real estate transactionsExperience drafting legal real estate documents including but not limited to NDSa, SNDAs, MOLs, Site License Agreements related to Master Lease Agreements, and amendments to legal agreementsStrong knowledge of real estate transactional processes, including title and survey review, lease negotiations, and closing coordinationHigh proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionBachelor's degree preferredFamiliarity with real estate management systems (e.g., NexsyOne, Site Tracker, SiteVizion or equivalent) is a plusExperience with document management platforms preferredExperience at a tower company or national carrier preferredBenefitsMedical CoverageDental CoverageVision CoverageLife Insurance401(k) PlanGenerous Vacation & Paid Sick LeaveSeven Paid National Holidays & One Floating HolidayPaid Parental Leave (6 weeks after 12 months of employment)Adoption & Surrogacy AssistanceEmployee Assistance & Wellness ProgramsCommuter Program BenefitShort-Term & Long-Term DisabilityEducation AssistancePaid Volunteer TimeCompany OverviewTDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS Telecom/TDS®) delivers high-speed internet, TV entertainment, and phone services to a mix of small to mid-sized urban, suburban and rural communities throughout the U.S. It was founded in 1969, and is headquartered in Madison, WI, US, with a workforce of 1001-5000 employees.
