About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Advanced Placement (AP) Teacher to join our team in Palm Coast, FL. In this role, you will inspire and challenge high school students by delivering rigorous and engaging AP coursework. You will be instrumental in preparing students for college-level academics, fostering critical thinking, and supporting their success on AP exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and implement AP-level coursework aligned with College Board standards.
- Develop lesson plans that engage and challenge students academically.
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
- Student Support:
- Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Offer additional support to students through tutoring, office hours, and study sessions.
- Encourage a growth mindset and academic excellence among all students.
- Classroom Management:
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Set clear expectations and maintain high academic standards.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in AP instruction.
- Participate in school training sessions, workshops, and AP-related conferences.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other teachers, administrators, and staff to support student achievement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, subject area, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Current state teaching certification in the relevant subject area.
- Demonstrated experience teaching AP courses or equivalent advanced coursework.
- Strong understanding of College Board AP standards and exam requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in differentiated instruction and curriculum development.
- Proficiency in using technology and digital tools in the classroom.
