Skills
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric patients using evidence-based care
• Proficiency in prescribing medications and psychotherapeutic treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in outpatient practice with a focus on patient-centered care

Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatry patients
• Prescribe medications and psychotherapeutic treatments
• Conduct outpatient appointments with 60-minute new and 30-minute follow-up schedules
• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, social workers, and therapists
• Utilize Epic electronic medical record system with dedicated behavioral health templates
• Participate in telemedicine opportunities

Qualifications
• Requires MD or DO
• Current unrestricted Texas medical licensure
• Board certification within 3 years of experience
• Valid prescriptive license required

Education Requirements
• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred
