Immediate need for a talented Outpatient and Inpatient Coder. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Hawaii(Remote). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:Location Remote (Hawaii-based candidates preferred).Schedule Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM HST.Day-to-day Responsible for complete inpatient or outpatient coding of hospital encounters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and E/M guidelines.Will review provider documentation, assign appropriate codes, and collaborate with physicians and coders to clarify information.Expected to code cases from scratch (not just edits) and meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Experience Minimum 1+ years of inpatient or outpatient hospital coding experience.Disqualifiers Candidates with only edit-review experience or who cannot code from scratch. Tools Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner, or equivalent).License/Certification Valid CCA or CCS certification from AHIMA or AAPC required.Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
