Description
To manage all selling activities of Orbit’s products through electrical distributors while increasing sales, building brand awareness at the distributor and contractor level and growing sales profitably. To direct and manage the sales efforts of the Independent Rep Agencies and/or Territory salespeople within the assigned region.
Requirements
Job Functions:· Responsible for achieving sales, profit, and growth goals for all Orbit products with the assigned region. · Maintain desirable mix and margins at distribution through assigned region. · Ensure sales are profitable and meet or exceed expectations and requirements as set by management.· Identify, evaluate, and select Independent Rep agencies and/or Territory salespeople to represent Orbit with the region. · Direct, coordinate, manage and motivate the activities and efforts of the independent rep agencies and/or Territory salespeople throughout the assigned region. · Conduct Monthly and Quarterly sales performance review meetings with Independent Rep Agencies. · Complete Rep Agency Scorecard and develop a plan to improve overall score. · Develop and build direct relationships with Electrical distributors, contractors, MRO, and other users of Orbit’s products. · Promote Orbit’s value proposition and increase brand awareness at distribution and contractors.· Provide product training for independent rep agencies, territory salespeople, distributors, and contractors. · Recommend appropriate solutions to contractors, end-users, and specifiers.· Provide market feedback on industry trends, competition, and market level pricing. · Analyze market, develop annual forecast, and strategic plan for assigned region. · Maintain Partner Profiles for distribution partners and provide marketing with business cards to maintain database. · Provide weekly updates on activities. · Actively participate in all phone/teams calls, meetings, trade shows, and industry events.· Submit expense reports in a timely manner.· Timely follow-up and compliance on all requests from management. · Travel as required in order to effectively manage and train independent rep agencies and /or territory salespeople and monitor regional activities, trends, issues, and opportunities for sales growth and increased market penetration. Required Skills/Qualifications:· Strong Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and other computer-based skills. · 60%-70% travel within assigned region.· Strong communication and relationship building skills.· Maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers. · Exceptional organizational skills with outstanding follow through. · Flexible, with the ability to multi-task in a highly demanding stressful environment· Self-starter and entrepreneurial with a professional demeanor· Independent, not requiring a lot of supervision.· Strong leadership and management skills· Team player· Ability to collaborate with colleagues, management and inside team to create a results-driven, team- oriented environment.Required Competencies:· Effective Communications· Collaboration and Teamwork· Drives for Results· Negotiation/Closer· Time Management· Forecasting· Problem SolvingEducation/Experience:· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.· Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the Electrical Industry required.
