This position creates and manages the execution of Optum Health internal communications, including CEO communications and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) communications. The work is focused, but not limited to, leadership meetings, all-employee town halls, LinkedIn strategy, employee listening, internal employee campaigns, clinical communications and content development for signature channels. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Assists in developing the content for Optum Health town halls and various leadership forums as appropriate Assists with the support of employee listening sessions Assists with support of “Moving Care Forward” employee campaign and content development Assists with support of all internal speaking engagements for Optum Health CEO Creates content and develops collateral to support Optum Health employee storytelling and enterprise priority storytelling campaign Supports CEO LinkedIn strategy and plan, including mapping out recommended posts and cadence Develops and writes human-centered content to educate employees on business topics that support our strategic priorities and mission and values Assesses success of campaigns to bring forward recommendations for improvements Adheres to applicable internal and external communications standards established for the business (e.g., internal style guides, AP style guides, communication industry standards) A collaborative, consultative disposition, an uncompromising eye for quality, confidence advising senior leadership, comfort with change, resourcefulness, creative problem-solving, multi-tasking skills and flexibility You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 8+ years of strategic communications experience Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships and provide strategic counsel to senior leaders Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic communications plans Demonstrated proficient writing and editing skills Proven solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables Ability to work across teams and functions and experience working in a matrixed organization Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the health care health care industry and health care communications experience Proven standout idea generator and problem solver Experience with influencing and collaborating with others Demonstrated affinity for tools and technology Experience measuring communication campaign effectiveness Ability to be strategic thinker with broad perspective and analytical skills *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
