Operations Support Specialist - Long Island (On-Site Opportunity)
Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Long Island. As an Operations Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our calibration management system, managing vendor activities, and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Manage on-site calibration activities to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements
Oversee the lifecycle management of test equipment, including calibration, tagging, initial release, repairs, and continuous improvement
Coordinate with vendors to ensure service delivery and metrics meet contractual requirements
Drive supplier quality engineers to address vendor issues and improve overall quality
Analyze and minimize material spend through monthly analysis, corrections, employee training, and awareness
Lead and manage tool and test equipment allocation, purchase, and repair processes, budgets, and compliance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive service delivery processes, metrics, compliance, and improvement
Lead process improvement initiatives and leverage local customer team synergies to drive national operational initiatives
Communicate and lead actions to meet or exceed service delivery goals, including tools, test equipment, purchasing, and monthly zone scorecards/metrics
Drive constant quality improvement using Lean principles for tools and processes
Qualifications:
BS or BA degree and demonstrated process management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience with calibration standards and test equipment requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
