As an Operations Generalist, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the operations department and work closely with various teams to contribute to the firm’s business goals.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate books & records through detailed reconciliation of client portfolios so we can properly implement our investment strategyHelp retain clients by providing excellent client service through effective client reporting and communicationProvide superior administrative support to Operations Management to allow them to effectively focus on strategic business needsSupport internal personnel with operational inquiries to achieve company goals of excellenceWork as an engaged member of the Operations Department to fulfill the business goalsDaily reconciliation of cash and transactions for domestic and multi-currency portfolios using Gresham Control for IMMonthly reconciliation of cash, transactions, holdings and accrued income for domestic and multi-currency portfoliosCommunicate with custodian banks to resolve discrepanciesPost and check client cash flowsAll reconciliations performed using Gresham Technologies’ automated systemMaintain important operations databases and documentsElectronically file documents for the teamCompile trade blotters and assist with internal/external auditsEnsure accuracy of client contact databaseCompile daily and weekly reportsTrack progress on department goals for Executive Committee meetings and presentationsAd hoc projects assisting all areas of OperationsEffectively respond to all client inquiries using all internal resources availableMaintain focus on client satisfaction during all forms of communicationMeet all scheduled and unscheduled reporting requirementsManage reporting inbox and confirm reporting deadlines are metSkillsBachelor's degreeInterest in learning the operations process at an investment managerProficiency with Microsoft Office suite0-1 years of experience within investment managementExperience with equity pricing and performanceBenefitsAdditional health coverLife assuranceIncome protectionPensionFirm contributions to causes important to our employees through firm Charitable Giving and Charitable Matching programsMentorship ProgramLunch & LearnsSponsoring workgroups and committees to recommend business improvementsTeam building activities in local offices and as a global firm including social eventsHoliday eventsMonthly birthday partiesPizza ThursdaysRecharging with healthy snacksCompany OverviewPzena Investment Management is a global investment management firm that employs a classic value investment approach.
