The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program's two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
You will operate heavy equipment as required to support Satellite launch processing.
You will gather/organize and update all the available technical documentation (requirements specifications, vendors cut sheets for systems, design drawings, maintenance records, acceptance procedures, etc.) for each system.
You will wear breathing apparatus to support work in hazardous payload processing environments.
You will gather/organize all existing operating & maintenance procedures available for identified systems.
You will actively participate with LSIC/SVC during TIMs and various Launch Base working groups- function as an integral part of the team.
You will develop procedures and conduct functional testing for the systems installed at the processing facility supporting the facility readiness review process.
You will review and provide comments to Launch Base processing documentation including; schedules, requirements documents, and processing procedures.
You will support training and familiarization training of LSCI/SVC personnel.
You will interface with 45th Space Wing organizations/contractors to plan/schedule range support to mission processing. Supports Satellite Vehicle processing by acting as the onsite control/authority from a safety/security perspective for all assigned processing activities.
You will support all SV launch processing activities including; C-5 aircraft offload, transport of flight hardware, ordnance test/install, SV receiving inspection, SV mechanical handling, SV post ship electrical testing, propulsion system leak testing, propellant loading and pressurization, SV encapsulation, launch pad processing and launch.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience with satellite processing operations and requirement documentation
Proficient in the application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly
Ability to obtain a Class A CDL Drivers License
Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Active TS/SCI or TS/SCI w/ Poly
Familiar with integrated schedule development
Space lift experience
Maximo experience
Class A CDL Drivers License
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
