Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically gifted professional to join our Operations Assessment and Execution (OAP) team as a Remote Operations Data Analyst. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for driving innovative analysis using both structured and unstructured data, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement across all functional areas of our organization.
This is a fully remote position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to meaningful projects that directly impact our operational success. You'll have the opportunity to work with diverse datasets, develop automated reporting solutions, and present your findings to senior leadership.
What You'll Do
As an integral member of our analytics team, you will:
Drive Data-Informed Decision Making: Understand business operations deeply and translate data into meaningful insights that improve performance and efficiency
Conduct Comprehensive Analysis: Extract and analyze data from multiple perspectives for use in assessments, models, and initiative development
Apply Advanced Analytics: Use descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytical techniques to highlight business challenges, propose solutions, and illustrate important tradeoffs
Develop Innovative Solutions: Leverage emerging technologies and identify effective ways to communicate data and analysis to meet divisional needs
Create Automated Reporting: Build and enhance automated reports, analyses, and dashboards to support senior divisional leaders and frontline employees
Customize Tools for Teams: Adapt analytics tools to suit each team's specific requirements and workflow
Build Strategic Partnerships: Establish trust with business groups to become a trusted analytical advisor
Support Process Improvement: Contribute to process enhancement and project management responsibilities for both individual business units and cross-divisional initiatives
Present Findings: Communicate discoveries and recommendations to OAP and divisional leaders with clarity and impact
Mentor and Train: Guide other team members across various skill levels and subject areas
Champion Innovation: Remain intellectually curious, ask challenging questions, and proactively suggest improvements
Work Independently: Take ownership of issues, consider creative solutions, and drive execution of resolutions
Required Qualifications & Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Educational Background: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar) is preferred
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated familiarity and experience with some or all of the following: SQL, SAS, R, Tableau, or other database query tools and programming languages
Data Visualization Expertise: Strong proficiency in Tableau or other advanced data visualization tools
Query Development: Ability to write complex queries, join data from multiple sources, and work with large, complex datasets to derive meaningful business insights
Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple demanding projects with shifting priorities
Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally and develop relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Leadership Presence: Professional demeanor with the ability to lead, manage, and communicate across various levels within the organization
