As an Operation Agent, you will work with an innovative team whose common goal is to ensure that our customers baggage and cargo arrives safely and on time to drive a positive customer experience. At Delta, our brand is critical to our continued success. As an Operation Agent, you play a key part in keeping our brand strong by maintaining professionalism and exhibiting a positive attitude inside and outside of work.

Operations Agents will be scheduled to work a shift between 20 to 40 hours per week. Work tasks may include bending, stooping, and twisting, standing, and walking. Work tasks are repetitive and may include actions such as loading and stacking bags in addition to working in confined spaces and on knees for an extended period in aircraft bins. At times, these tasks will be completed in harsh weather conditions (heat, rain, to name a few).

Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
• Supervise BW vendor tasks, such as the safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from the aircraft, in addition to being responsible for on-time connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
• Observe and monitor the Security and BW vendor activities that include the safeguard of Cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
• Occasionally lift and load baggage onto carts and to ensure each bag reaches its destination.
• Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage and cargo are routed correctly to the passengers destination.
• Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.

• Be authorized to live and work in Mexico at the time of your application.
• Must be fluent, both written and orally, in English
• Must be fluent, both written and orally, in Spanish
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Have valid drivers license
• Valid Mexican Operations License issued by Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes
• Valid Medical Certificate
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check
• Ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
• Possess basic computer skills
• Have strong verbal communication skills
• Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
