About The Role
We're seeking passionate and equity-minded educators to join our tutoring community as independent contractors. As a tutor, you'll play a pivotal role in closing the early-learning gap, engaging directly with K - 8 students in live, synchronous, online tutoring sessions. We prioritize diversity and aim to build a team of tutors that reflects the rich tapestry of students we serve.
You'll facilitate online reading or math sessions for small groups of 1 - 4 students. You'll utilize our comprehensive learning platform and curriculum, guiding you through lessons and providing real-time insights into student performance. Building consistent relationships with the same students each week fosters an environment conducive to student learning and growth.

Qualifications And Requirements
Passion for working with K - 8 students from diverse backgrounds
Teaching or tutoring experience preferred; however, we welcome newcomers to the field who meet our minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications Include
3+ years of teaching or tutoring experience
OR 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience coupled with a bachelor's degree
OR 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience alongside current enrollment in a teaching credential program
Enthusiasm for teaching reading and/or math
Comfort and experience with online tutoring and technology usage
Eligibility to work in the United States (US citizens or residents)
Job Details
Location: Remote
Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour, with potential for bonuses
Schedule: Consistent weekly tutoring contracts available year-round; contracts are seasonal
Curriculum: Utilize our proven technology platform to guide lessons and monitor student performance in real time
