The Woodbridge Romulus plant is recruiting motivated individuals for two production positions. Openings are for 10-hour shifts, with a 4 day/week workweek and occassional overtime. Please see below for shift times and job descriptions. Shift Times: (Monday - Thursday) Days: 6:00am-4:30pm Midnights: 7:30pm-6:00am Please note overtime and ability to work either shift is required as part of the position. Starting wage: $18.40-19.15/hour plus 14 paid holidays, paid vacation time, unpaid personal days, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, and short-term disability benefits! Benefits after 90 day probation period. Online Inserter RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for inserting appropriate frames, wires, Velcro, typar, foam blocks, elites, etc.. Into molds just prior to pouring foam. • Watch the tool as it approaches the insert area. • Determine the necessary components for the tool approaching the insert station, and gather the components needed to insert into the tool. Use no components with visible defects. • Insert the components into the tools properly, making sure to locate them accurately. Reject parts that have visible defects Offline Operator RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for complete removal of protective tape from Velcro components. • Responsible for inspection of parts prior to packing. • Responsible for cleaning excess foam from specific areas of foam pads, which must be foam-free. • Responsible for trimming flash and ribbon vents from selective molded foam parts. • Responsible for properly packing specifically assigned product codes into designated bins by product code and specific pack count. • Responsible for operating coring and other machines as necessary. • Responsible for the application of chemicals on the foam (NCR station). • May perform other jobs as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Experience: Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of skills to carry out the insert tasks. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Knowledge of / and compliance with Safety Regulations. • Be dependable and have a good attendance record. • Be able to work overtime. • Be able to communicate in a professional manner with team members. • Self starter, with demonstrated continuous improvement traits; effective at working independently. Working Conditions: Majority of time in a production environment which can include exposure to hot and cold conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hand to fingers, handle of feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to bend, walk, balance, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push or pull up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Working Schedule: Standard work hours will consist of 10 hours per day, 4 days per week on an assigned shift. Schedule hours may be altered as required by the training needs of employees or equipment breakdown. Ability to work overtime or irregular hours to include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as requested. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
