Job Details Position Type : Always Accepting Applications Education Level : 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage : Negligible Job Shift : Any Job Category : Education 2025-2026 Open Positions Preschool Part-Time Instructor PK-2 Subs & Tutors Online instructors for grades PK-5 teach live online courses using Kolbe Academy's curriculum. Responsibilities include conducting live classes, developing lessons and other materials, grading student work, and regularly communicating with students and parents. Kolbe will provide course plans, books, software, and other resources, as well as ongoing support and training, to help instructors to succeed in their roles. See the elementary live schedule here : Teachers should plan for 2.5 hours of live time each day and 1-2 hours of planning and grading Responsibilities for Teachers Grades PK-5 Conduct live classes as scheduled in Adobe Connect Manage and maintain assigned courses in Schoology (our learning management system) Create & post a weekly assignment schedule each Friday Design and develop lessons, assignments, and assessments using the Kolbe curriculum Communicate with parents and students through email and Schoology (M-F except on holidays) Provide timely feedback and grading on all assignments and assessments Hold office hours during exam weeks and by request of students Complete annual initial and ongoing training as assigned Attend all in-service, department, and grade level meetings as scheduled Other PK-5 responsibilities include: Check email and Schoology messages on a daily basis, Monday-Friday not including holidays or breaks Return graded assignments within a reasonable time frame Hold office hours/Student success meetings upon appointment Complete training in all technology, Kolbe philosophy and policy, and online teaching pedagogy Attend faculty in-service meetings as directed Attend all department meetings as scheduled Qualifications Ideal Candidate: Experience teaching the specific subject in the classroom and/or online Passion for technology and familiarity with online learning Ability to create engaging synchronous lessons Engaging personality Organized and Professional Catholic and Virtuous BONUS: Understanding of Classical/Ignatian Methodology Required Qualifications Classroom teaching experience and/or tutoring homeschool students. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Master's degree in field or teacher certification (any state). Preferred Previous experience teaching in an online environment. Preferred Job Requirements Complete Kolbe Academy teacher training course. Dedicated work space appropriate for conducting live online classes in a professional manner.
