Oil & Gas Energy Lawyer (Remote)

We are currently seeking Energy Lawyers specializing in Oil & Gas to work with our global clients in the energy industry. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in oil and gas law, with expertise in providing legal advice and support on a wide range of energy-related matters. Responsibilities: • Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to oil and gas exploration, production, and transportation, including environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and land use issues. • Draft and negotiate a variety of oil and gas agreements, including leases, joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, processing agreements and pipeline contracts. • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local government laws and regulations. Qualifications: • Active bar license in the state in which you reside. • Minimum of 8+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on oil and gas law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department setting. • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws and regulations governing the oil and gas industry, including the Mineral Leasing Act, Clean Air Act, and Natural Gas Act. • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) agreements. Preferred Qualifications (not required but considered advantageous): • Experience advising clients on upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas transactions and projects. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. • Experience with energy commodities with an emphasis on pipelines and terminals, and experience counseling on energy compliance matters. Compensation, Benefits & Location: This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $155,000 and adjusted to take location and years of experience into consideration.
