Are you a dedicated Special Education Interpreter seeking a dynamic remote opportunity? VocoVision is looking for a qualified SLI for a remote position in Ohio, providing essential support to K-12 students through live videoconferencing. As an independent contractor, you'll receive specialized software, training, and technical assistance to effectively deliver interpretation services online.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in American Sign Language (ASL) or a related field
Certification as an Educational Interpreter or willingness to obtain
Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
Exceptional communication skills
3.5 or above EIPA
Responsibilities:
Provide virtual interpretation services during instructional sessions and meetings
Facilitate communication between Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and school personnel
Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and caregivers to ensure student success
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interpreting assignments
VocoVision Requirements:
Must provide your own liability and general insurance
Comfortable with being an independent contractor
Home computer with high-speed internet
Passed basic tech screening
