Description
OCH Technologies is looking for a Front-End Web Developer with strong experience in modern JavaScript frameworks and content management systems to build and enhance user-facing web applications. This role will focus on developing responsive, accessible, and high-performing interfaces using Drupal, React, and modern JavaScript. Location: Remote Core Responsibilities & Duties Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Build and enhance front-end components using React.Customize and integrate themes and components within Drupal.Ensure cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and mobile responsiveness.Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into functional interfaces.Integrate front-end components with APIs and backend services. Troubleshoot and debug issues across environments.Follow best practices for accessibility (WCAG), SEO, and web standards.Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.Develop and support container-based web applications. Participate in detailed analysis of functional and technical design discussions and create UI design of wire frame diagrams for new Software functionality to be implemented. Develop System Documentation including System Design Documents, Software Architecture documentation, Diagrams, etc. Participate in requirements gathering, testing, and providing configuration management including software release management, automated pipeline support, and containerization support. Support Technical and Maintenance activities including security and deficiency assessments, resolution of technical issues, affecting system performance, architecture development and system modernization recommendations. Participate in team coding exercises, paired programming, and performing code reviews and pull-request approvals. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative software delivery practices.Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals, but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Science, or related field Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experienceExperience with Drupal CMS (theming, module integration, or decoupled/headless Drupal) Experience with developing web applications using React, Typescript and Node.js technologies Experience designing and supporting applications using NoSQL database, preferably MongoDB-compatible platforms Working knowledge of relational databases Experience developing test cases and unit tests using Jest, React-testing library, etc. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility Familiarity with government software development Experience consuming RESTful APIs Experience with Atlassian products including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence Working knowledge of Docker for local development, testing, and deployment support Familiarity with designing, building, and integrating microservices Security Clearance Requirement: Candidate must have an active Public Trust security clearanceOther Required Skills and Abilities Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
