Nursing Assistant, Medical Telemetry, Part Time Night Shift
Job Summary
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assumes responsibility for collecting data related to patient status, performing basic nursing procedures, and ongoing documentation of patient data.
Essential Functions:

Ā Assists patients with activities of daily living and hygiene, turns and repositions patients, transports patients, and assists with walking.
Ā Assists adult/pediatric patients with toileting needs, including emptying established colostomy bags and urinary catheter removal.
Ā Assists with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints as delegated, removing and reapplying anti-emboli hose or compression devices.
Ā Assists with admission of patients to the unit by preparing room, greeting, and orienting patient and/or family.
Ā Takes and records vital signs, prepares patients for meals, and provides snacks and supplements.
Ā Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens, completes documentation in EMR, and maintains cleanliness and order of hospital rooms.
Ā Performs point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN, reports lab values to RN, and performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Ā Education - Completion of a nursing assistant program preferred.
Ā Experience - No previous experience required.
