The result is customers who are confident in the advice and guidance we provide with our quality-focused assessments and positive outcomes.APEA is looking for enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who are passionate about both practice and teaching and would like to take the next step in preparing students for the certification exam.The Nurse Practitioner Educator is needed to deliver Live Nurse Practitioner Certification Review courses (in person and online required). This position is a remote position that requires presenting 2–4-day review courses, traveling to present the course on site and virtually from a remote location.Responsibilities
Embody industry knowledge of nurse practitioner practice
Deliver NP exam prep content to students preparing for the certification exam
Utilize technology to provide live instruction to support participants preparing for NP certification exam
Understand APEA products and solutions to assist customers
Implement a consistent process to optimally deliver high-quality reviews
Have a computer with reliable internet access
Education and Experience
Masters or Higher Degree in Nursing
Mastery knowledge of the Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Blueprint
Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License
Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching or presenting at conferences, 5+ years preferred
Experience as a family or psychiatric nurse practitioner preferred
Skills and Abilities
Maintain NP certification exam expertise.
Demonstrate an engaging presentation style
Exhibit professionalism
Demonstrate technological competence with a variety of applications
Create a collaborative atmosphere with faculty and students
Communicate clear expectations and establish realistic goals
Guide students to identify their personal learning needs
Challenge and support students to exercise critical-thinking skills
Creatively provide and clarify essential content
Use a variety of interactive presentation strategies
Ability to travel and present at least four review courses per year
