NRE Strategic Planning Analyst I
About the position Join our National Real Estate Services team, driving the success of one of the fastest growing retailers in the nation. We have an aggressive plan to become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count. This role will focus on supporting National Real Estate budgeting topics, profitability, financial modeling, and more. You will also work on exciting international budgeting projects to assist leadership with decision making. Responsibilities • Investigates financial data, identifying discrepancies, analyzing trends, and delivering actionable insights to leadership. • Ensures accurate, timely, and insightful reporting across all ALDI countries. • Creates variance reports highlighting exceptions to support US National Real Estate and the International Real Estate Committee. • Supports the creation and maintenance of financial models to drive business decisions with a focus on growth, profitability, and optimizing return on investment. • Performs cost-benefit analyses, sensitivity analyses, research-based projects and small-scale projects to support national departments and international organizations. • Extracts and analyzes internal historical financial data to accurately forecast expected future results. • Investigates financial discrepancies and variances across global entities. • Tracks and monitors key financial metrics and reporting KPIs with a focus on real estate financial reporting. • Develops and maintains visualizations to communicate financial performance to leadership. • Conducts ad hoc and non-standard reporting to support strategic decision-making. • Collaborates with cross-functional and international teams to gather financials and resolve reporting issues. • Recommends improvements to reporting processes, tools, and data quality. • Supports the implementation of new reporting systems or enhancements to existing platforms. • Assists in the rollout of global financial reporting initiatives and projects as the subject matter expert for ALDI US Real Estate. • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader. • Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Knowledge of financial analysis strategies, including the use of NPV, IRR, and payback period. • Ability to analyze and break down complex ideas into actionable insights. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with international financial operations or reporting preferred. • Familiarity with financial systems including SAP preferred. Benefits • Full-Time position with a starting wage of $37.75 per hour. • Wage increases in subsequent years: Year 2 - $39.25, Year 3 - $41.75, Year 4 - $44.25. • Eligible to participate in ALDI's Hybrid Work Program, allowing remote work up to 3 days per week.
