Requirements:
Ā Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Ā Current Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
Ā Previous experience in a special education setting, with a deep understanding of various disabilities
Ā Understanding of remote teaching tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams)
Ā Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ā Proficient organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment
Responsibilities:
Ā Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student
Ā Provide engaging and differentiated instruction through remote platforms to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
Ā Take advantage of technology to create interactive and accessible learning materials
Ā Record and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to support student success
Ā Cooperate with parents, guardians, and school staff to maintain open lines of communication
Ā Administer support and guidance to students to help them develop self-advocacy and organizational skills
Ā Actively participate in remote team meetings and professional development sessions
