NOC DAS Engineer
Job description:We are seeking a skilled NOC DAS Engineer to provide comprehensive managed network solutions for Cellular Service Provider. This role delivers advanced monitoring, management, and support services beyond basic alert systems, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability for mission-critical public safety communications infrastructure.Primary ResponsibilitiesNetwork Monitoring & Performance ManagementConduct extensive performance and traffic monitoring across distributed antenna systems (DAS)Implement usage data collection and control mechanismsPerform detailed report analysis and generate actionable insightsMonitor RF signal quality and identify degradation patternsSystem Administration & MaintenanceDeploy software upgrades and system configurations across Cellular Service Provider locationsPerform OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) security controlDefine and coordinate OAM routine schedulesExecute backup and restore administration proceduresManage OAM application, database, and system administration tasksConduct 2nd level routine maintenance activitiesIncident & Change ManagementManage incident response and resolution processesPerform technical impact analysis of proposed change requestsConduct post-incident reviews and root cause analysisExecute 2nd level resource fault restorationCoordinate supplier and partner interactions for issue resolutionTechnical Support & TroubleshootingDiagnose RF signal degradation, equipment failures, and connectivity issuesPerform remote troubleshooting of multi-vendor equipment (ADRF, Comba, JMA, etc.)Coordinate with field technicians, vendors, and carriersProvide escalation support for complex technical issuesRF & Telecommunications ExpertiseRF Fundamentals: Deep understanding of propagation principles and link budget analysisTest Equipment Proficiency: Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Network Analyzer operationPublic Safety Spectrum Knowledge: 700/800 MHz bands, VHF/UHF, FirstNet Band 14 frequenciesDAS Architecture: Comprehensive knowledge of passive, active, and hybrid fiber DAS systemsAntenna Systems: Understanding of RF distribution and antenna system designNetworking & SystemsNetwork fundamentals and protocolsMulti-vendor equipment management and integrationRemote monitoring and management platformsRequirementsMinimum 2 years in RF and telecommunicationsNetwork operations experience, preferably in NOC environmentPublic safety communications or mission-critical infrastructure (preferred)DAS deployment and support experienceMulti-vendor equipment troubleshooting and managementExperience with emergency services communications systemsBackground in wireless carrier operations or infrastructureProject coordination and vendor management experienceExperience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practicesWilling to work on a shifting schedule.BenefitsEmergency Loan and Other Financial Assistance ProgramHealth InsuranceHealth SubsidyInterest-Based ClubsLife InsuranceTeam Socialization AllowanceYear-End Performance Bonus Plan(Company discretion)And much more
