New Patient Physiotherapist

What is the job?You will act as our senior triage physiotherapist, reviewing referrals and clinical documentation (“paper triage”) and conducting structured telephone/video assessments to determine suitability for a clinical assessment. You will signpost patients to the right pathway, and contribute to continuous service improvement.This role does not include the delivery of treatment. You will support the care pathway by undertaking triage based on internal policies and best practice.What will you be doing?Triage & AssessmentPerform comprehensive triage of referrals and medical records to determine urgency, risk, and appropriate care pathway.Deliver telephone/video triage using internal policies and best practice to support decision makingIdentify exclusions, contraindications and safeguarding concerns and escalate in line with Montu policies and national guidance.Care CoordinationProvide accurate and timeous record keepingSignpost internally and externally, escalate and refer internally as required Service Development & QualityLead or contribute to pathway audits, SOP updates, and outcome measurement (e.g., PROMs, time‑to‑treatment metrics).Support creation of patient education materials and digital triage scripts.Champion clinical governance, incident reporting, and continuous improvement.Lead or contribute to service development for physiotherapists in the companyWhat do you need?EssentialHCPC‑registered Physiotherapist; member of CSP (or equivalent).Minimum 5 years’ post‑registration experience with at least 2 at Band 6+ level; strong clinical background.Demonstrable expertise in remote/telephone triage and safety‑netting.Advanced clinical reasoning, confident autonomous decision‑maker.Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex info into patient‑friendly language.Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, tech‑enabled environment (EMRs, telehealth platforms, digital PROMs).Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and clinical governance frameworks.DesirableExperience in pain management services, cannabis‑based medicinal products, or other adjunctive therapies.Prior work within a start‑up/scale‑up or busy healthcare setting.Experience creating SOPs, audits, or service redesign projects.What we offer:Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year two) + 8 bank holidaysPension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributionsFlexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, and moreGrowth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams and represent Montu at events, with support to grow your skills and impactEnhanced Maternity & Paternity LeaveAbout UsMontu UK is a leading digital health company specialising in cannabis-based medicines (CBPM), dedicated to improving patient access to safe and effective treatments.
