Network Security Engineer (VPN + MFA Implementation for Azure & Office 365)

Job Description Our company is headquartered in Canada, and we have developers working remotely across the globe. All our applications are hosted in Microsoft Azure, and we use Office 365 for our productivity suite. Our head office internet connection has a dedicated static IP with upload/download speeds exceeding 500 Mbps. We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to design and implement a secure access solution for our distributed team. The ideal solution will enforce strong authentication, ensure secure connectivity, and maintain high performance for all remote developers. Project Requirements The solution must ensure: 1.Mandatory MFA Any user attempting to access our Azure infrastructure or Office 365 environment must be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication. (NOTE: we have a few developer accounts for them we dont want this MFA to be enabled) 2. Mandatory VPN Connection Users must connect to a secure VPN before they can access any company resources. 3. High-Speed Performance After VPN After connecting through the VPN, user internet speeds must remain high and should not degrade significantly. Our head office provides more than 500 Mbps speeds, and the solution must support this performance. What Your Proposal Must Include Please provide a detailed proposal covering the following: ✅ 1. Proposed Technology Stack • What technologies, protocols, and platforms you recommend (e.g., SASE solutions, Azure AD Conditional Access, AnyConnect, WireGuard, Zero Trust architecture, hardware firewalls, cloud firewalls, etc.) ✅ 2. Required Hardware or Devices • Any network appliances or devices we need to purchase • We currently have one TP-Link EAP225 access point — specify if this is sufficient or if additional equipment is required ✅ 3. Licensing Requirements & Estimated Cost • Any licenses we need to purchase (security, VPN, cloud identity, etc.) • Estimated CAD pricing for all licensing components ✅ 4. Your Fixed Project Fee • Provide a fixed price to complete the entire project • Outline exactly what is included in your scope of work (setup, configuration, testing, documentation, training, etc.) ✅ 5. Timeline • How many days you require to complete the project • Any phases or milestones you plan to follow Additional Information • The more details and clarity you provide in your proposal, the higher your chances of being shortlisted.
