Network Ops Center Analyst 3 - (Mainframe Operations)
About the position
U.S. Bank is seeking a Network Operations Center Analyst to monitor and manage Mainframe Operating systems and network connections, ensuring the availability and performance of critical applications. This role involves 24/7 support, incident management, and collaboration with technical teams to maintain operational efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
Responsibilities
Ā Constantly monitor Mainframe MVS operation system LPARs activity via console messages, logs, and network management system.

Ā Develop and review Knowledge Management documentation for accuracy and participate in training peers on operational functions.
,
Ā Create, update, and resolve all incidents via the corporate ServiceNow Tool, taking corrective action as defined in operating procedures.
,
Ā Assist with implementing monthly/quarterly application releases and mainframe hardware upgrades and maintenance.
,
Ā Monitor high priority incidents, alerts, and significant changes, escalating for awareness as necessary.
,
Ā Provide support for enterprise-wide production and test environments, assisting application developers during testing phases.
,
Ā Analyze Network Operations Center application and system events using appropriate test structures and related diagnostics.
,
Ā Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and best practices related to Network Operations Center services.
Requirements
Ā Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
,
Ā At least 2 years of experience in a data center operating environment and production systems management.
,
Ā Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
,
Ā Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language), HMC & System IPL's, TSO, MVS, JES, and automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins).
Nice-to-haves
Ā Working knowledge of scheduling tools such as CA7 and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.

Ā Experience in computer operations and hardware infrastructure management.
