Job Description Network Deployment and Operations Engineer V Remote Summary: Our company is looking for a Network Deployment and Operations Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join the Network Deployment and Support team. What does the ideal candidate look like? • Experience in IP or Optical network deployment, with a focus on program management, process improvement, and technical expertise. • Proven track record of delivering large-scale IP or Optical network infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. • Strong technical expertise in IP or Optical networking protocols, architectures, and technologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision making. Day to day: • Provide technical and operational guidance and oversight to IP or Optical network deployments ensuring that projects are delivered on time and with quality. • Facilitate technical discussions with cross-functional teams to identify solutions, mitigate risks, and drive innovation. • Build and execute comprehensive deployment program scope, schedules, resource allocation, and ensure successful delivery of IP or Optical network deployment projects. • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as deployment speed, quality, efficiency, and SLAs to measure program success. • Manage relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring that they meet contractual obligations and deliver high-quality services. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Data center engineers, Network engineers, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Establish and maintain regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into program performance, risks, and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have: • Technical expertise with IP or Optical networking protocols, architectures and technologies including BGP, TCP/IP, SNMP, GRE, or MPLS. • Operational Efficiency to manage large-scale network deployment programs, optimizes E2E planning, execution, measurement, and management for deployment speed, quality, predictability, and efficiency. • Data-Driven Decision Making to utilizes network analytics and metrics to inform decisions, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues in a data-driven approach. • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to drive network deployment strategy, planning, and execution. • Automation experience to articulate automation needs for network deployment workflows and dashboards by working with software engineers and data scientists to design and develop automation solutions. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in IP or Optical network deployment, with a focus on program management, process improvement, and technical expertise. Pay range is $79 - $105 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
