Network Engineer Secret clearance required 6+ years of Network Layer 2 Experience Remote with Extensive travel (60% +) required (U.S. and International). While this position is remote you must reside in one of the following states. South Carolina North Carolina Georgia Florida Tennessee Kentucky Virginia West Virginia Maryland Texas Techead is currently hiring a Network Engineer to join our team. This position requires 60% + travel to DoD Military Treatment Facilities worldwide in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) LAN/WLAN upgrade/refresh project. Responsibilities Participate as a member of the LAN/WLAN Site Survey and Install Team. Survey Duties: Capture switch configurations, document existing fiber interconnects and existing network equipment data. Perform WLAN heatmap walks utilizing AirMagnet software. Install Duties: Independently upgrade switch IOS, Install (rack mount) and configure Layer 2/3 edge switches (Cisco or Ruckus or Juniper.) Requirement's A minimum of four (5) years’ hands-on experience configuring Layer 2/3 edge switches LAN and IP based switches). Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required prior to starting. Technical Training in LAN or WLAN Communications required. CCNA or other OEM vendor certification highly desired. CWNA certification is a plus.
