Hi, Need VMware Migration Specialist-100% Remote Location - Remote Duration: 12+Months Category Description Role Summary The Migration Specialist is responsible for the precise execution of the workload migration process, ensuring all VMs are moved accurately and validated according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Key Responsibilities Execution, SOPs & Testing: - Follow and execute the defined Migration SOPs for pre-migration, migration, and post-migration activities. - Conduct pre-migration checks (e.g., ensuring VM tools, OS compatibility, and resource availability) and fix any identified issues. - Execute VM migrations using HCX tools (e.g., Bulk Migration, RAV) as directed by the HCX SME and Architect. - Document and facilitate pre- and post-migration testing with application owners to confirm workload functionality. - Troubleshoot basic migration failures and escalate complex issues (HCX-related, network, storage) to the relevant SME. Required Skills Hands-on experience with large-scale VM migration tools (HCX, vMotion). Proficiency in VMware vCenter Server management. High attention to detail and ability to follow and create precise documentation (SOPs).
