Video Editor (Final Cut Pro) – Freelance | Remote | $15/hr Starting Rate
SchaperMedia is hiring freelance Final Cut Pro editors to help us produce high-quality YouTube and Instagram content for coaching and course creator clients. Most videos are between 1 to 4 minutes long and focus on clear, educational messaging — not vlog-style or entertainment-based edits.
This is a great opportunity for recent college graduates or early-career editors looking to gain hands-on experience in digital content production. We provide training on tools and workflow. Editors with direct experience in our style will be considered for higher pay.
What you’ll do:
– Edit short and mid-form talking head content (1–4 minutes)
– Cut down long-form videos into short-form Reels and Shorts
– Select music and stock footage from Artlist
– Use MotionVFX plugins to create clean, modern motion graphics (training provided)
– Deliver engaging, teaching-based edits with great pacing and on-brand visuals
What we’re looking for:
– At least 2 years of experience editing in Final Cut Pro
– Strong sense of pacing, visual storytelling, and music selection
– Familiarity with course creator-style content and social media formats (Reels, Shorts, etc.)
– A reliable Mac (2020 or newer) and strong internet connection
– Availability to work between 8am–5pm PST
– Must be able to commit to multi-day bookings (typically 5 days at a time)
Pay:
– Starts at $15/hour
– Higher pay available based on experience and skill
