The Role: Roadrunner & Door Opener

VEM US Inc. is looking for a high-energy, "boots-on-the-ground" National Sales Representative to aggressively expand our footprint in the US industrial market. We don’t need a strategist sitting behind a desk; we need a proactive roadrunner who thrives on finding new opportunities, opening doors, and winning orders.

You will be the primary engine for growth, hunting for new business across the metals, rolling mill, and crane sectors. While we handle the high-level strategy, you handle the execution—getting in front of customers and ensuring VEM is the first name they think of for heavy-duty low voltage motors.

Key Responsibilities
• Active Prospecting: Act as the primary "door opener," identifying and pursuing new leads with EPC's, OEMs, System Integrators, and End Users.
• Strategic Relationship Management: Manage long-cycle, multi-million dollar projects, providing technical expertise on VEM solutions.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor movements and industry trends to provide feedback to our global engineering teams for future product localized for the US market.
• Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle from initial cold call to closing the deal. This is a high-activity role focused on tangible results.
• Structured Workflow: Maintain a well-organized and disciplined approach to territory management, ensuring consistent follow-ups and CRM accuracy.
• Trade Show Presence: Represent VEM at major industry events, aggressively networking and converting floor traffic into active sales leads.
• Technical Sales: Work with the engineering world to get VEM products written into project specs, ensuring our motors are the "gold standard" for new industrial builds and modernizations.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: 5+ years of "in-the-trenches" experience in industrial motor or power transmission sales.
• Technical Knowledge: Deeply familiar with low-voltage (up to 1000V) motor standards (IEC and NEMA), torque requirements and harsh-environment applications.
• Execution-Focused: A proven track record of self-management—someone who manages their time efficiently without needing constant oversight.
• Network: An existing "Rolodex" of contacts within US steel mills, rolling mills, or heavy-duty crane manufacturers.
• Mobility: Willingness to be on the road 50%+ of the time to visit industrial sites and customer offices.
