National Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist I

Ellingson is adding a National Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to join their growing team. In this position, you will travel to job sites across the midwest, typically out Monday and home Friday. Ellingson provides a vehicle for traveling to job sites. RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate on developing, implementing, and communicating the company’s safety policies and standards to support efforts towards our injury-free goal. Identify and work to correct potential hazards and unsafe work conditions. Drive and assist with incident investigations and implementation of effective solutions. Assist in completing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and facilitate/attend EH&S toolbox safety meetings. Help lead Operational Excellence initiatives. REQUIREMENTS Current Construction, Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Minimum of 3 years of training, construction safety, gas distribution, or pipeline experience preferred. Knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations and industry standards preferred. OSHA 500, or 510 certifications preferred. Experience in HDD, Oil & Gas, or similar industries preferred. Ability to communicate, organize and prioritize daily workload, follow, and promote policies/ procedures, and maintain company confidentiality. Experience developing technical programs according to industry requirements and conducting training sessions with field employees to support operations.
