Description
Full-time, fully remote position, in retirement benefits administration, regularly working 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday with 40 + hour work week. Wonderful working environment with opportunity for growth. This position is full-time, salaried, and exempt.DutiesBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by providing support to a group of retirement plans through knowledge, expertise and customer care to all clients taking into account the client segmentation as determined by NBS.Oversee a variety of compliance tasks relating to ERISA retirement plansDevelop and promote plan sponsor, advisor, and investment provider relationshipsCoordinate needs of investment providers, plan sponsors, participants, and advisors. Consult with plan sponsors or advisors concerning regulatory, operational, and service aspects of retirement plansManage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines at the same timeUnderstand and ensure retirement plans meet all regulatory and compliance requirements as established by the IRS and DOLCoordinate plan needs with other teams to ensure timely and accurate completion and responsesCoordinate support for plan sponsors during IRS audits or DOL investigationsMonitor ERISA plan documents for adherence to applicable rules and regulationsAttend and facilitate team, department, and company trainingsMust gain extensive knowledge of retirement plans through certification within 1 year of accepting this position; maintain QKA designation once obtainedSome travel may be required to make on-site client visits (some visits may require overnight stays)Provide expertise as a subject matter expert in one or more duties related to Relationship Management, including owning procedures and checklists pertaining to subjectProvide expertise by way of a professional blogpost that can be published on the NBS online knowledge baseActively contribute to a positive team environmentMust meet or exceed required level of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in all measured areasPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director, or Vice President
Requirements
Have excellent customer relation skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationshipsBe highly attentive to detail and accuracy of work and maintain an organized approach to duties and responsibilitiesAble to learn quickly and have the ability to research complex problems independentlyPersonable, highly motivated, hardworking and positive attitudeBe well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesBe professional and articulate in both verbal and written communicationHave strong computer skills including typing, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelBe able to comprehend and interpret IRS and DOL regulationsWork well within a teamEducation and Experience â Bachelorâs degree or work equivalent required. 1 year retirement plan administration experience is required.Physical Requirementsâ This position requires the employee to be seated the majority of the work time.Note: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work for the designated position.
