About This RoleWe are looking for an experienced sales business development professional that will be overseeing and participating in activities such as bids, trade shows, and customer relationship management. Responsible for representing the company's interests, and building business relationships to enhance sales business development performance. The territory is assigned accounts throughout the US and desired candidates will be located near an internal airport in the following states due to significant travel requirements: TX, FL, GA, IN, OH, MO, TN, LA, MN, NC, SC, CO, AZ, DC Metro.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a primary contact to identify prospective for account management teams and develops a professional relationship to understand the customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet the customer needs.Conducts business development activities for account management teams within defined customer segment to support the business strategy.Leads bid opportunities, participates in the preparation of bid responses and the negotiation with potential customers.Develops and promotes new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.Proactively supports and develops prospective projects with assigned customers and presents to sales business development team.Develop personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities. Develops customer presentations for specific customer needs.Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED5+ years of Builder Industry Experience2+ years of Sales ExperienceAbility to Travel 60% of the time domesticallyPreferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree5+ years HVAC industry experience in professional sales or marketing positions of increasing responsibilitySales success at both the local and national levels through: (1) strong builder/distribution relationships and development (2) program execution and (3) effective pull-through strategyThorough understanding of U.S. home building industry including prior account management experience in Top 50 builder segment, manufactured housing or REITs verticals.Understanding of two-step distributionStrong understanding of marketplace dynamics including industry trendsPassion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.Ability to work in diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environmentExcellent communication skills, presentation and writtenStrategic agility working with in a large matrix organizationAdvanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate findingsHighly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.Superior follow-up and follow-through skillsRSRCAROriginally posted on Himalayas
