MySQLMaria Developer / DBA
We are seeking a skilled MySQLMaria Developer/DBA to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical in supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional database administration and modern cloud data engineering, focusing on high-availability environments and seamless data migration. Key Responsibilities • Database Management: Administer, optimize, and maintain MySQL and MariaDB environments to ensure peak performance and security. • Data Migration: Lead complex data migration projects using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. • Cloud Integration: Support data workflows and integration within Databricks, helping to modernize our data lakehouse architecture. • Compliance & Security: Maintain rigorous security standards in alignment with federal regulations and DOT protocols. Required Qualifications • Technical Expertise: Strong background as a Developer or DBA with specific experience in MySQL and MariaDB. • AWS Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with AWS DMS for large-scale migrations and ongoing replication. • Modern Data Stack: Functional experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, or general workspace administration). • Security Clearance: Must hold an active Public Trust Clearance (Required for DOT contract compliance). • Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in the U.S.).
