Join the Music Kids Team as a Music Teacher in Bellevue, WA! Music Kids LLC is seeking enthusiastic and motivated music teachers to join our team in Bellevue, WA, for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Music Teacher with Music Kids, you will have the opportunity to teach beginning level violin, piano, and guitar to students in a dynamic and supportive environment. Our program offers small group classes to students across six states and the District of Columbia, and we are expanding our reach with new partnerships in Bellevue, WA. About Music Kids Music Kids exists to enrich and improve student development by bringing musical instrument education programs into the local school environment. Our mission is to provide high-quality music education to students of all ages and skill levels, and to inspire a lifelong love of music. To date, Music Kids has taught thousands of students at over 40 active partner schools throughout DC, MD, IL, MA, NY, CT, and PA. The Position As a Music Teacher with Music Kids, you will be responsible for teaching small group classes in one or more of our area partner schools. You will also be responsible for managing student records, providing meaningful learning updates to parents, and supporting students virtually. This is a 10-month position (mid-August to mid-June), with opportunities to extend employment for the additional 2 summer months. Key Responsibilities: Teach beginning level violin, piano, and/or guitar to students in small group classes Manage student records and provide regular progress updates to parents Support students virtually and provide additional learning resources as needed Promote the program and drive enrollment at partner school events Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with senior resident Faculty Members and staff Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum materials Communicate effectively with parents and students through regular email and instant messaging Requirements Essential Qualifications: At least 1-2 years of teaching experience, either in music classes or a traditional classroom setting Ability to teach one or more instruments at a beginning level (curricular resources and assistance available) Strong interest in working with a wide range of student age groups, especially beginning level students Passion for having a direct impact on the primary education system Comfortable teaching students in small groups of 3-4 students Flexible and creative in teaching style with an open mind Ability to work independently and represent the organization as an employee at partner schools Experience with leadership or project management Reliable, organized, timely, and possesses friendly verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Ability to teach multiple instruments at a beginning level (violin, piano, and guitar) Experience working with students aged 3-5 years old Knowledge of music education curriculum and standards Experience with educational technology and online resources What We Offer Competitive Salary & Benefits: Annual salary ranges from $45,760 to $68,640 (based on experience) Additional benefits available for employees working 20+ hours, including PTO, retirement, and medical Above-average commute time bonuses available for all employees Career Growth Opportunities: Opportunities for professional growth and development Collaborative and supportive work environment Chance to make a positive impact on students' lives and education Work Environment & Culture: Dynamic and supportive work environment Collaborative team of music educators and staff Opportunities for professional development and growth How to Apply If you are a motivated and enthusiastic music teacher looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
