Museum Attendant
**Overview:** We are seeking a Museum Attendant to create a welcoming environment for our guests, generating retail sales and enhancing the museum experience. As a representative of the Maxine and Jesse Whitney Museum and Prince William Sound College, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the collection to the public, encouraging public and students' interest in the natural and cultural history of Alaska, and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Whitney Museum. **Responsibilities:**
• Maintain and present the museum collection to the public
• Encourage public and students' interest in the natural and cultural history of Alaska
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Whitney Museum
• Provide friendly customer service and assist with retail sales
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Alaska's cultures, natural resources, and history
• *Qualifications:**
• High school graduation or equivalent
• Strong ability in verbal communication
• Some cash handling experience required

• Seasonal position operating from May 2026 to September 2026
