As a key member of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team, you will play a critical role in providing targeted math interventions to students, supporting their academic growth and achievement.
Job Summary:
The MTSS Math Interventionist will work closely with students, teachers, and staff to identify and support students who require additional math support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, document, and maintain ongoing academic plans and behavioral intervention plans for students
Provide supplemental math instruction to students, either one-on-one or in small groups
Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify students who require MTSS support and develop targeted interventions
Monitor student progress, collect data, and report on intervention effectiveness
Maintain accurate attendance records and intervention results
Participate in ongoing professional development training and collaborate with colleagues
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Math, Education, or related field
Illinois Paraprofessional License required; Professional Educator License preferred
Prior experience tutoring students in math, preferably in a high school setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Proficient in Google Docs and Sheets, Powerschool, and Schoology
