MedStar Radiology Network, Chevy Chase at Barlow is currently seeking an experienced MRI Tech for a Full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Monday through Friday from 1:30pm to 10:00PM. • *$5K Sign On Bonus Offered!** JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI technologist: • Performs routine to complex magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. • Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. • Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. We’ll train! • Sign-on Bonus or Relocation Assistance available to qualified candidates for select positions Requirements EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 2 years experience as a MRI Technologist EDUCATION: • Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols. • Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. • Ability to work independently and multitask. • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. • Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data. Imaging studies are an essential component of preventative care and treatment, and having the best diagnostic equipment possible is a vital step to good preventive health for our patients.
