Job title: Motion Graphics Animator Company: ATOMIC KID STUDIOS Job description: Atomic Kid Studios is seeking a Motion Graphics Animator to join our team in Milford, CT! The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing finished animations, and have experience blending various source materials and techniques, such as digital design and illustration, 3D content, photo and video footage. Many videos will require the integration of voice-over, music and sound design. The projects are diverse and cover a wide range of industries, from new product launches to explainer videos and industry keynote presentations. Responsibilities: • Building high-quality motion graphic / animations that continue to elevate the standards of our studio • Coordinating with both internal and external resources for development of content, and working closely with a project lead and Producer • Creating eye-catching graphics and engaging designs that appropriately articulate the story in unique and compelling ways • Handling graphic projects from start to completion • Developing and maintaining image library files in an organized fashion • Collaborating with outside agencies and services as needed • Mentoring peers and less experienced team Animators and interns • Reporting to a Creative Lead • Transitioning in and out of multiple projects with a high level of professionalism • Being highly efficient, communicative and organized • Accurately estimating and managing time in consideration of internal team and client deadlines Qualifications: • 4+ years of Professional Animation and Motion Graphics experience • Associated experience in graphic design, illustration or other related fields • A self-starter with exceptional problem solving skills, and can handle crazy late breaking changes and client "curve balls" • Strong animation skills with an understanding of advanced animation principles such as timing, composition, force, weight and volume • Experience working with audio, voice-over, music and sound design • Highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud production applications, specifically After Effects, Audition, Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator • Must be comfortable working in a Mac based environment • Experience with 3D applications, such as Cinema 4D or Maya • Digital design and layout skills needed to produce storyboards and digital key-frames • Deadline and detail-oriented, strong time management of production workflow from inception to final render • Ability to clearly communicate between team members and take direction from creative leads - we appreciate people who bring ideas to the table and are ready to collaborate! • Finds inspiration and shares it with the team, always looking for ways to help us grow Bonus Qualifications: • Experience with third-party plugins, such as; X-Particles (C4D), Mocha, Autodesk Universe Suite, various AEScripts • Experience with Unity 3D / Unreal Engine • Illustration (Digital / Mixed-media) • Appreciates random Pop culture references Benefits: In addition to your salary, you will be entitled to the following: • As an employee you will be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings and commuter parking accounts according to the terms described in the employee benefits package (provided by ADP).
