Mortgage Sales Assistant

The Mortgage Sales Assistant will support the Mortgage Sales Team by managing member applications, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies while delivering high-quality member service. Responsibilities Build lifetime quality financial relationships with each member by providing competitive products and excellent service Answers all incoming calls from general information phone lines Returns calls for general information to prospective borrowers Refers calls to the appropriate person within the Lending Sales and Operations teams Mails applications, brochures, or other appropriate material to calling members as requested Pre-qualifies applicants Takes applications over the phone Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales tracking and member satisfaction survey reports using Microsoft Excel and internal reports Monitor member submitted applications and import new loans into Mortgagebot LOS from POS Support MLOs with document collections and member follow up. Complete and send notice of incomplete (NOI) when required Schedule appointments for the Mortgage Loan Officers Respond to telephone calls and emails directed to the Mortgage team and assist with general inquiries related to approval process, mortgage statuses and loan programs Review and process paperwork submitted by Mortgage Loan Officers and members. Scan/upload application documents into Mortgagebot LOS Coordinates and communicates with MLO, members, processors to ensure the mortgage application process is smoothly completed with accurate documentation Pipeline management – multiple loans in a fast-paced work environment Identify opportunities to cross sell additional products and services to support member’s financial needs Achieve referral goals set to deepen member relationships with MCU and support deposit growth goals Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned Skills Associate's degree, or equivalent experience, plus 1 year of experience in a first or second residential lending origination environment NMLS will be required Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail Technologically proficient Familiar with DocMagic a plus Benefits Competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits. 401K with employer contribution Flexible paid time off Company Overview Municipal Credit Union has been serving the financial needs of our members since 1916.
