Mortgage Loan Originator Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator Assistant to join our team at Dream Finders Homes. In this role, you will support our loan origination staff in the qualification of clients for mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities
Ā Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation for prequalification status.
Ā Determine client qualifications and make recommendations for loan structuring based on client goals.
Ā Assemble and review loan documentation required for processing, including 1003s, W2s, tax returns, bank statements, credit reports, and VOEs.
Ā Verify accuracy and completeness of loan package documentation and report discrepancies to the loan originator.
Ā Pull credit, prepare income calculations, and run AUS (DU/LP).
Ā Protect clients' earnest money by accurately prequalifying the loan.
Requirements
Ā High school diploma or equivalent.
Ā At least 1 year of experience in a Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Processor, or similar role.
Ā Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ā Strong grasp of agency and loan program guidelines for CONV, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans.
Ā Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Encompass.
Ā Experience working in a high-volume team environment with a focus on new build and retail transactions.
Ā A designated work-from-home space free from interruption.
Ā Availability to work 8am-5pm MST, M-F, with occasional rotating on-call weekend shifts.
Ā NMLS licensure (must be willing to obtain within 6 months if not currently licensed).
